Waves Acrylic pouring guide - 3D printer files Digital Download

This product consists of an .STL file and a .3MF file of the 3D model shown in the photos.  To use these files you will need a 3D printer capable of printing at least 8x8 inches and a slicer (eg Cura) to create a gcode file to print.

Description of part once the file is printed 

This 3D printed part sits flat against the canvas allowing the artist to create an acrylic pour in perfect waves bringing some structure to the randomness of a normal pour.  It allows the piece to combine the intricate patterns of a ripple pour with the crisp lines and symmetry of the 3D printed part. 

Note - the edge and cross supports should be on the top side during the pour so that the paint is free to flow underneath.

When the pour is complete the artist can lift the pattern carefully out of the paint, gently rinse it in cold water and leave to dry for reuse.

The guide is 8 inches square and 3/8 inch deep giving plenty of room for your pour.  Please note sizes are approximate as there is some shrinkage when the part is removed from the printer. 

We try to make the pattern as robust as possible through careful design.  However, please note that it has to be a thin walled part to leave some space for you to add color and therefore may be damaged if not handled carefully.
