Tree Stump Coasters (5 Pattern sets)

One time use Tree Stump Coaster Kit with a concentric tiered pattern (5 Pattern sets) for use with resin art.

These 3D printed parts sit flat against a sheet of release film or a silicone sheet, allowing the artist to stick them in place by coating their bottom surface in resin.   Once Cured the artist can then pour resin into the different areas creating beautiful 3D tree ring effect coasters.  The coasters when filled with clear colored resin give a flat top surface with a tunnel appearance.

The kit is made up of 25 rings total.  These should be arranged into 5 sets of 5 roughly concentric rings as shown in the photos and linked video.  The inner most ring is 2mm tall, with each larger ring increasing in height by 1mm until the outermost ring which is 6mm tall.  This allows the artist to create a 3D stepped or tiered appearance. The coaster must be filled in with clear resin to give a flat top surface.

When stacked up with the largest coaster on the bottom and the smallest on the top the stacked coasters have the appearance of a sliced tree stump.

It is intended that the pattern remain a permanent part of the finished piece combining your favorite colors with the crisp lines of the 3D printed parts. 

The outermost circles (and hence the finished size of the coasters) are approx. 4inches diameter and 1/4 inch thick.   They are produced from metallic copper colored PLA.  

We try to make the patterns as robust as possible by using high quality PLA material and through careful design.  However, please note that it has to be a thin walled part to leave space for you to add color and therefore may be damaged if not handled carefully.
