Amaryllis Laser files Digital Download

This product is a digital download and not a physical part.  Only purchase this downloadable product if you have a laser cutter or a Cricut.

This file set allows you to cut parts that can be assembled into an amaryllis flower.  Designed for resin art, but possibly adaptable for painting or other art forms too.  

File types supplied are as follows -

1. .dxf file
2. .lbrn2 file (for lightburn)
3. .svg file

The parts have been designed to work with sheet material that is 3.2 mm thick.  Note  that tuning will be required with your control software and laser settings to get a clean cut and a secure assembly.

If you want to use a material that is a different thickness then there are a few ways you can adjust the files, as follows.  Remember to leave an allowance for paint or resin, both of which will increase the part thickness - 

1. Scale the geometry.  For example if you have 3mm material then you could scale all the geometry by (3.0 / 3.2) = 0.9375
2. Offset the profiles of mating features. 
3. Adjust your kerf setting

Any of these options will work for small differences in material size, but if you want to use material that is grossly different to the 3.2mm design point then you should use option 1  - scale the geometry first and then fine tune with the other methods.  You may need to use layers to allow you to adjust the kerf on different features by different amounts.
