One time use Twister pattern for the creation of a unique stand alone resin artwork.
The 3D printed parts sit flat against a silicone sheet allowing the artist to stick them in place using a thin coat of resin. Once cured, the artist can then pour resin into the different areas creating beautiful personalized intricate geometric patterns.
Important Note -This template is supplied in two parts and must be assembled by the artist such that there are no gaps between the two parts. The resin pour will hold everything together and will in fact provide all of the strength of the piece. We therefore recommend that you use a good quality brand of resin with a high stiffness when cured.
It is intended that the pattern remain a permanent part of the finished piece combining your favorite resin colors and textures with the crisp lines and symmetry of the 3D printed part.
The pattern comes in two pieces both of which are around 12 inches long giving an overall final length of around 24 inches. The pattern is 1/8 inch deep to give plenty of room for your pour and to give the required strength. Please note sizes are approximate as there is some shrinkage when the part is removed from the printer. It is produced from metallic copper PLA.
We try to make the guide as robust as possible by using high quality PLA material and through careful design. However, please note that it has to be a thin walled part to leave space for you to add color and therefore may be damaged if not handled carefully.
