One time use Chess Board template for use in resin art.
This 3D printed part sits flat against a transparent acrylic panel allowing the artist to stick it in place using a thin coat of resin. The artist can then pour colored resin into the different areas creating beautiful personalized intricate chess board. The options with this template are endless.
It is intended that the pattern remain a permanent part of the finished board combining your favorite method with the crisp lines and symmetry of the 3D printed part. The pattern is designed to be 12 inches square so that it will fit neatly onto a 12 inch square acrylic sheet (available separately).
The pattern is approx. 12 inches square and 1/16" thick giving plenty of depth for your pour. Please note sizes are approximate as there is some shrinkage when the part is removed from the printer. It is produced from metallic copper PLA.
We try to make the pattern as robust as possible by using high quality PLA material and through careful design. However, please note that it has to be a thin walled part to leave some space for you to add color and therefore may be damaged if not handled carefully.
