A 8 1/2 inch transparent acrylic box kit consisting of 4 side panels, a base panel and a top. This fully transparent acrylic box is perfect for creating a free standing resin art lamp when used in conjunction with one of our template sets (sold separately). You can also use it for other purposes if desired.
Important note - No lights included. Please ensure any lights used inside the box are suitable for that application. Only LED lights that do not produce heat are suitable to be used and you should always follow your light manufacturers instructions.
The assembly of the box is a little more complicated than our acrylic panels and so we advise you watch the video instructions here.
The side panels and base are designed to be held together by friction, but adhesive can be added if desired. The slots for the top are slightly larger to ease assembly and so it is more likely that a drop of super glue will be required to keep everything secure.
There is a small slot in the base that allows a light cable to pass under one of the side panels.
Both sides of all parts are protected during shipping by an easily removed plastic film.
All edges are laser cut leaving them with a polished finish.
The box is approximately 8 1/8 inches tall and the base is approximately 4 1/4 inches square. All parts are 3mm (~1/8 inch) thick.
Please Note that sizes are approximate due to manufacturing variation and dimensional tolerance - However the panels are designed to work with our equivalent sized templates and so are the perfect substrate for use with them.
