Sun Catcher Pattern

One time use Sun Catcher pattern for use in either resin art or acrylic pour painting. 

This 3D printed part sits flat against the canvas allowing the artist to stick it in place using a thin coat of resin.   The artist can then pour paint or resin into the different areas creating beautiful personalized intricate geometric patterns. 

This pattern is very versatile but was originally intended to be used for window art.  If used for this purpose it is recommended that the template be stuck onto a silicone sheet and then colored the next day.  Once cured the piece can be peeled off and hung in a window or on a wall.

It is intended that the pattern remain a permanent part of the finished piece combining your favorite method with the crisp lines and symmetry of the 3D printed part. 

The pattern is 8 1/2 inches wide  x 11 1/2 inches tall and is 1/16" thick giving plenty of depth for your pour.  There are rings top and bottom for hanging jewels from (not supplied).   Please note sizes are approximate as there is some shrinkage when the part is removed from the printer.   It is produced from metallic copper PLA.  

We try to make the template as robust as possible by using high quality PLA material and through careful design.  However, please note that it has to be a thin walled part to leave space for you to add color and therefore may be damaged if not handled carefully.
