One time use Squares Template for use in stained glass effect resin art.

This 3D printed part sits flat against a transparent acrylic panel allowing the artist to stick it in place using a thin coat of resin.   The artist can then pour colored resin into the different squares creating beautiful personalized intricate stained glass effect artwork.

It is intended that the pattern remain a permanent part of the finished piece combining your favorite method with the crisp lines and symmetry of the 3D printed part. The pattern is designed to be approx. 11.75 inches square so that it will fit comfortably onto a 12 inch square acrylic panel.

The pattern is approx. 11.75 inches square and 1/16" thick giving plenty of depth for your pour.  Please note sizes are approximate as there is some shrinkage when the part is removed from the printer.   It is produced from metallic copper colored PLA.

We try to make the pattern as robust as possible by using high quality PLA material and through careful design.  However, please note that it has to be a thin walled part to leave some space for you to add color and therefore may be damaged if not handled carefully.

Please Note - Price is for the 3D printed parts only.  Canvases, frames, boards, resin and paint etc not supplied

Needs improvement

The mold is not deep enough. There is such a fine line between having the square covered and running over the boarders. It was too stressful. It took all the fun out of pouring resin.

It's important to use a thin layer of resin to stick your template in place, otherwise there will be less room for your colors. We have a detailed method on how to use our templates on this blog post - https://pourawayfluidarts.com/blogs/resin-art-fundamentals/basic-resin-art-techniques.
