Set of thin transparent polyester films, coated on both sides with silicone for easy release.
** Please note - This product is intended to be used with our stand alone templates like the whale, suncatcher, teardrop etc. Our other templates work best when fixed to a substrate. Also please note that the film only works with using the dip and place method to secure your template as shown in the attached video.
This film is used when the artist wants to create a stand alone resin artwork. The template is stuck onto the film using the dip and place method (see embedded video). Once cured the template can be filled with colored resin. Finally, once this has cured the template and resin can be peeled away from the release film leaving a glossy surface to the artwork.
The film can also be used to separate resin items that may be tacky or for storage or for providing a nonstick surface for flattening resin with film or other items embedded in it.
We carefully selected this film due to its glossy finish and the fact that it lies flat and doesn't curl up.
The film should be reusable if care is taken not to damage it during its initial use. It is also double sided and so each sheet should be usable at least 4 times.
The pack consists of three 12 inch square sheets and two smaller sheets that are close to 6 inches square.
Please note: The film is not heat resistant and can't tolerate torching. Please debubble your resin prior to pouring or use Isopropyl alcohol to remove bubbles instead of torching or using a heat gun.
