One time use Blue Whale Resin Window Art Template.
This 3D printed part sits flat against the release liner, canvas or panel allowing the artist to stick it in place using a thin coat of resin. The artist can then pour resin into the different areas creating a beautiful Blue whale artwork.
This pattern is very versatile but was originally intended to be a stand alone item to be made with out backing. There are integral rings for hanging the piece from string in a window or against a wall and the template is a little thicker than our other templates to reflect this. If being used as a stand alone piece please be aware that most of the strength and stiffness of the piece will come from the resin used, and as this is a thin pour, 2 part epoxy can take some time to fully cure.
It is intended that the pattern remain a permanent part of the finished piece combining your favorite whale colors with the crisp lines and symmetry of the 3D printed part.
The pattern is around 12" long and 1/8" thick giving plenty of depth for your pour. This is thicker than our normal templates as it is designed to be stand alone. Please note sizes are approximate as there is some shrinkage when the part is removed from the printer. It is produced from metallic copper PLA.
We try to make the template as robust as possible by using high quality PLA material and through careful design. However, please note that it has to be a thin walled part to leave space for you to add color and therefore may be damaged if not handled carefully.

Love the whale. I did cut the round loops off it no problem. Spray painted it silver , no issues and layered with coloured resin on my painted canvas. I’m very impressed with everything. I placed my order and in 8 days received my items on the most western part of Canada. That’s impressive service. Definitely will order again. The whale template was excellent
