One time use Ammonite Resin Art Template.
This 3D printed part was designed to be a stand alone item and is a little thicker than most of our other templates. The easiest way to use it is to stick in onto a sheet of release film (sold separately), but it can also be stuck onto a panel or other films as desired. The artist can then pour paint or resin into the different areas creating a beautiful personalized Realistic or abstract Ammonite or snail shell..
This pattern is very versatile and can be stuck onto a rock to make a faux fossil or used as a coaster as well as a piece of art.
It is intended that the pattern remain a permanent part of the finished piece combining your favorite method with the crisp lines of the 3D printed part.
The pattern is around 6 3/4 inches long, 5 1/2 inches wide and 3mm thick giving plenty of depth for your pour. Please note sizes are approximate as there is some shrinkage when the part is removed from the printer. It is produced from metallic copper colored PLA.
We try to make the template as robust as possible by using high quality PLA material and through careful design. However, please note that it has to be a thin walled part to leave space for you to add color and therefore may be damaged if not handled carefully.
