Reusable guide for making the perfect acrylic pour rainbow or circle pattern
This 3D printed part sits flat against the canvas allowing the artist to pour in between the "wires" creating intricate patterns. It allows the piece to combine the randomness of a ripple pour with the crisp lines and symmetry of the 3D printed part.
Note - the edge and cross supports should be on the top side during the pour so that the paint is free to flow underneath them.
When the pour is complete the artist can lift the guide carefully out of the paint, gently rinse it in cold water and leave to dry for reuse.
The guide is 8 inches square and 3/16" deep giving plenty of space for your pour. Please note sizes are approximate as there is some shrinkage when the part is removed from the printer.
We try to make the guide as robust as possible by using high quality PLA material and through careful design. However please note that it has to be a thin walled part so as to not leave gaps in your painting and therefore may be damaged if not handled carefully.
